What is the Global Learning Portal (GLP) Community?

The Global Learning Portal is a learning network for educators, where you will find educational resources and materials as well as growing communities of practice.

Click on
Communities in the menu to collaborate with colleagues, participate in discussions, and share materials, or click on Resources to browse through high-quality educational lesson plans, materials, and courses.

How Do I Join?
It is
free to join the Global Learning Portal. Simply go to http://www.glp.net/registration and fill out the online registration form. Once it is filled out and submitted, you become a member. You just need to login using your username and password.

What are Communities?
An online community is a group of people with a common interest who meet virtually to share information and deepen their knowledge of a topic.

Click on
Public Communities once you have clicked on the communities tab to browse communities on education-related topics. To view any community, click on the community name. To participate in discussions, add documents, or collaborate with members, you must be logged in and a member of the community. To become a community member, click on the “Join” icon next to the community name.

Under the IEPCD initiative, we have established the Peace Tree Connexion (PTC) public online community on the Global Learning Portal. The community webpage can be accessed via the URL:
http://www.glp.net/web/ptc. Because this community is designated as “public” anyone is able to post discussions and threads under the “Discussions” tab.
